To some, volleyball is just a game, while others it’s an art form. Understanding volleyball enables people to develop critical thinking skills, organizational abilities, and self-awareness abilities. Bystanders may discover the game fun and fast paced, but they seldom know all the effort that goes into playing with it. Playing entails learning the moves and customs of your teammates in addition to gaining a sense of awareness. By practicing, someone could develop awareness and critical thinking skills which are important in the sport and life.

It’s all about reading the other players and keeping tabs on their own team. A setter needs to be more conscious than the other players on the court because he or she controls the speed of the full game. To perform this position successfully, a setter has to be smart and witty. He or She must have the ability to think faster than the speed of this game. In addition to that, a setter has to have the ability to express their thoughts to teammates and to listen to teammates. Communication, like in anything else, is an integral factor of success in volleyball. If one player can’t reach the ball, her or his teammates will need to know, so that they could get to the ball. Players talk to one another through a play to help make decisions regarding if the ball is in or out of bounds, and gamers will normally give guidance on what play to run. Sometimes players will voice encouragements if another teammate isn’t playing their best. Another example of communicating in volleyball is the way a setter and hitter communicate effectively to place the ball across the net where it won’t be blocked.

• Read their opponent’s behaviour and make tiny adjustments.
• Communicate ideas and aims to teammates.
• Move quickly and believe rapidly.
• Plan moves measures ahead.
• Make calculated moves which don’t indicate plays to defenders.
